TVN, Enel SPA confirms the use of dirty coal and remove the commitment of the 30% reduction in emissions: the guilty silence of the mayors of Civitavecchia, Tarquinia, Allumiere, Tolfa and Santa Marinella.
From the day that the mayors of the district concerned in the conversion of coal to Civitavecchia took part in the negotiating table on the subject organized by the Lazio Region compensation in cash by Enel SPA, they stopped worrying about the problems affecting the health and environmental impacts of their land. We wonder where they got the mayors who signed the agreement with the Regione Lazio behind so many empty words such as "monitoring" and "protection", have abandoned all forms of pollution against present and future of the territory, while in Europe and the world is more and more environmental awareness and responsible search for tools to reduce the use of fossil fuels like coal dirt. And what about the last serious facts that have emerged, such as the "plan to restructure Air Regione Lazio and disregard of the law on? On 14 August 2008, the Lazio Region has published "Regional Plan of reorganization of Air Quality," a useful tool to analyze and solve problems related to air pollution in places where there are sources of pollution dangerous to health or the 'environment. The fact unbelievable, but true, is that in this plan, the Region Lazio does not consider the severe weather situation and health of Civitavecchia. Incredible, but true, is that no mayor of the polluted area makes the necessary observations on the lack of control and monitoring. The only comments received have been sent in the Lazio Region citizens. In addition, Enel SPA delivery documentation for the AIA procedure (visible on site www.minambiente.it ) and instead of taking the supplements due to law and the protection of the territory, dissociates its responsibilities regarding the choice of dirty coal and remove all of the efforts on the reduction of 30% of reducing emissions.
Incredible, but true: mayors do not have any comments or require compliance with the agreement with Enel, where the commitment to reduction of 30% was signed as if it were a form of protection.
Meanwhile get the first ship coal, dirty coal download the open air and no mayor calls for respect for the law. The first citizens of Civitavecchia, Tarquinia, Allumiere, Tolfa and Santa Marinella why not protect the health of their area? We do not believe that they have read and they know the seriousness of what is happening. It 's amazing the guilty silence of their silences or their hands are too sticky to deal with Enel SPA? Silence is golden. Yet these mayors them there remember all the streets with the flags of the no coal. Then, when the smell of money was felt the only common language was the most convenient to the electric company: they have explained that you can not stop the power plant but you must ensure that all steps are carried out under as legality and the respect of citizens' health. reminded mayors that protect this territory means also that the power companies are law-abiding, as we all have to be!
Dear Mayors, as the old saying goes " good day starts in the morning" : we see that the promise of compensation is already producing memory lapses and a certain complicity with the giver of money and damages.
