We told you that the Sardinians were a bit of myth 'from every corner of the Mediterranean. A small correction, however, requires: someone who came from nowhere, there was already the first of all. Maybe
ticked off the ground like a tree bent by the mistral wind.
Pausanias, the second tourist in history (the first was his majesty the sparaballe Herodotus, of course) tells us that in Sardinia there were some natives: they were the first inhabitants of the island of Libyan, Phoenician, Geci and whatever ' others came later. And they were different from them.
say that Pausanias rather than say what they were and what they knew to do, speaks in the negative. That is, he says he does not know what name the natives had given Sardinia. Who could not build cities, but lived as happened in caves and hovels. That Libi (Pausanias to the first "new arrivals" on the island) do not drive them out. That the natives did not like the Libi but they were too weak to be able to reject them.
And finally: The Indigenous were subjected to a new invasion from some of the inhabitants of Corsica. Were themselves (the natives) to call the newcomers Courses: These were one of the three major lineages sardines legendary (and historical) together with Balari and unharmed. The
Diodorus Siculus adds little to the history of Indigenous Peoples. Maybe talking about them mixed with the Libyans arrived later, we do not know. It tells us, however, that Iolaus, the nephew of Heracles and mythical conqueror of Sardinia at the helm of his cousins \u200b\u200bTespiadi, defeated them in battle, and he divided the island among his proteges. spread is given when speaking of the revolt of the Libyans (African, Libi not the immigrants in Sardinia) against Carthage: it says that the natives of the island tried to take advantage of the revolt to free themselves from the Phoenicians.
are the same Indians in Pausanias tells us? O inhabitants of Sardinia are generally the Carthaginians, who were not? From the limited information of Diodorus we can not solve the riddle. However, the Nationalists resign islanders: the Carthaginians defeated the rebels soon in Africa and then reoccupied Sardinia.

Some 'little, sure. Little news and lots of doubts.
Who were the natives? They were native-born spontaneously from Mother Earth? Or is it simply a definition of convenience to indicate a mythical people before the invasion? Or, better yet, the people who were on the island before the invasion is told that from time to time?
The mystery remains.
What is certain that, in a fairly typical, the residents receive "outside" civilization (build cities, for example). And who's first is subject to those arriving later.
